Calder Gardens is Philadelphia’s newest art institution, dedicated to Alexander Calder. It is conceived as a place where there is an evolving interplay between art, architecture, and nature. Covering almost an acre, the gardens were designed by Dutch garden designer Piet Oudolf (who designed the High Line in New York City, among other public gardens). Erin Monda will discuss the design, installation, and management of the garden and plant highlights.

Erin Monda is the Horticulture Manager at Calder Gardens. She was a section horticulturist at the Morris Arboretum and Gardens for over six years where she managed and designed a diverse range of gardens and landscapes. She holds a dual Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership and Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
