Most people are familiar with the innumerable benefits of living trees – but even after their death, trees provide vital habitat, shelter, and food for wildlife. Join us as we learn how dead and dying trees still teem with life, from tiny termites to fantastic flying squirrels and everything in between!
Samantha Nestory, a passionate naturalist, serves as the engagement manager at Stoneleigh: a natural garden in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Leading up to her current position, Sam studied ecology and entomology at the University of Delaware, worked for the consulting firm Sarver Ecological and interned at Morris Arboretum. Samantha is especially devoted to insect conservation, weaving together the stories of pollinators and plants to foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
